Acid Jazz Records continue their re-issue series of Hutson classics with Closer To The Source // The Man!
Plus Barbican show announced
Celebrating thirty years of existence, London-based Acid Jazz Records continues to thrill with both new and old. As part of their Leroy Huston re-issue campaign through 2018, the label are pleased to announce details of two further albums Closer To The Source and The Man! set for release on May 11th on vinyl, CD and digitally.
Recently nominated for Soul Artist Of The Year at 2018’s Jazz FM Awards, Hutson sees a deluxe re-issue of 1978’s classic Closer To The Source unveiled replete with bonus tracks and extensive sleeve notes coupled with the earlier outing and his second album for Curtom The Man! again with additional sleeve notes and bonus tracks.
Perfectly poised between soul and club music, the remastered Closer To The Source includes the favourite ‘Get To This (You’ll Get To Me)’ and ‘You’re A Winner’. Meanwhile 1974’s The Man!
